Frequency for tasks that are run time based?

1 min read

Many tasks are run time dependent. A common example is changing the oil in your car every 3,000 miles.
VizmaPro can easily handle these kinds of tasks using this simple formula

SI – Service Interval: What is the recommended service interval? (Example: Every 250 run hours)

TU – Typical Usage: On Average how much do you run per day? (Example: 6 hours per day)

DW – Days per week: How many days per week is this equipment ran? (Example: 5 days per week)

Example #

For example a spindle on a machine needs to be greased every 1000 run hours. On average you run this machine 7 hours per day and you run production 4 days a week.

SI = 1000 Hours

TU = 7 Hours/Day

DW = 4 Days/Week

Based on this calculation maintenance should be performed about every 6 months

Service Interval Calculator #

Use this calculator to determine the service interval for a machine based on its typical usage and the number of days per week it runs.
